Prize Draw Glossary
Plain-English definitions for the terms you'll see across PostDraw UK.
Active postcode
A postcode that is registered in the live draw pool and is eligible to be drawn. A postcode must be valid and UK-based to be active.
Bonus Draw
A free evening draw at 9pm. No extra action is required; any registered postcode is automatically in the pool.
Claim window
The time after a draw during which a winning member can claim their prize. Once the window closes, the win is voided.
Daily draw
Any draw that runs every day. The Main, Survey, Video, Stackpot and Bonus draws are all daily draws.
Draw slot
The fixed time each day when a draw result is published. For example, Main Draw is at 9am.
Fairness lock
A 25-hour cooldown that prevents a single postcode from being drawn twice in a row, keeping every draw fair.
Main Draw
The headline free daily draw, published at 9am. No extra action is needed — your registered postcode is already entered.
Odds
The chance of winning calculated as the number of active postcodes divided by the number of postcodes drawn in that draw.
Postcode area
The first one or two letters of a UK postcode (for example, M for Manchester or SW for South West London).
Postcode pool
The complete set of active postcodes that the random draw engine can pick from at any time.
Prize per winning postcode
The amount awarded to each winning postcode in a draw. If a draw has multiple winners, the prize is split per winning postcode.
Progressive draw
A draw whose prize rolls over or grows if nobody claims it within the claim window.
Referral commission
A percentage of a referred friend's prize or offer earnings that is credited to the member who invited them.
Stackpot Draw
A daily draw at 12pm that keeps ten rolling postcodes. If one of them matches a drawn postcode, it wins.
Super Draw
The monthly headline draw on the 1st of every month. It uses the same postcode pool but carries a larger prize.
Survey Draw
A daily draw at 9am that requires answering a short multiple-choice survey to unlock your entry.
Syndicate
A group of members who pool their postcodes and share any prize won by those postcodes.
Unlock
The action a member takes to become eligible for a draw, such as watching a video or answering a survey.
Video Draw
A daily draw at 9am that requires watching a short video to the end to unlock your entry.
Withdrawable balance
The amount of money a member can request to be paid out. It includes claimed prizes and completed offer earnings.
